Sophie girl returned to us looking for rescue again now in eb rescue space offered :)

This lost soul is SOPHIE. She was handed in to a vets by a "finder" in this shocking state. Sophie is only thought to be about 18mths old. She has now seen a vet and the news is promising. Although she has some bites to her head and is in need of dietary support, her blood tests have come back clear suggesting her condition is the result of severe neglect rather than an underlying medical condition.

Due to Sophie's fragile condition, we have moved very quickly to find a safe place for her and are relieved that we now have a lovely rescue standing by to nurse Sophie back to health and give her all the TLC she needs. She will be transported to safety as soon as she is strong enough (hopefully towards the end of this week).

SOPHIE - Brindle Staffie X female, approx 18months old. A bubbly bouncy girl who craves wants attention and love. Arrived at the pound in a very sorry state indeed with signs of neglect and mistreatment. Was extremely stressed and tail chasing very badly but as she has settled in and begun to relaxed, this seems to have subsided. Sophie seems fine with other dogs. Is fully vaccinated.
Sophie is seeking a space with established, reputable rescue which:

Is non-destruct (unless on the advice of a veterinary surgeon)
Vaccinate, microchip and neuter all dogs prior to rehoming (unless a vet advises against it)
Conduct a home visit for all foster/forever homes before releasing the dog
Offer LIFETIME rescue back up to the dog - the dog must be able to come back to the rescue at any time.
Fully assess all dogs in a safe, controlled environment before introducing them to members of the public. This is either in kennels or in a very experienced, child free, cat free foster home able to separate the incoming dog from existing dogs whilst it is assessed.
Ensure no pound dogs are placed straight into homes with young children. Dogs must be assessed for their suitability for young families before coming into contact with under 10s.

New pic of Sophie now

URGENT RESCUE SPACE NEEDED (not ready for rehoming)

SOPHIE

Brindle Staffie X female, approx 18months old. A friendly, forgiving and faithful girl who despite all she has been through, desperately craves attention and love. Sophie is a lifelong victim of severe neglect/ mistreatment. She has been kept in squalid conditions in a small crate with other dogs stacked all around her, for months on end.
There is an air of desperation about her bubbly demeanour:
Sophie NEEDS to be loved, NEEDS to belong, NEEDS to feel safe. Sophie carries her sadness with her, like a suitcase full of suffering. When she arrived Sophie was extremely stressed and tail chasing constantly; now that she is safe and cared for, the tail chasing has almost stopped. Sophie seems ok with other dogs so far. Is fully vaccinated. Safe and Sound will fund the cost of Sophie's spey.

SOPHIE has started her journey on the road to recovery, but now desperately needs a rescue to help her move on from her ordeal. All we can provide is food and a roof over her head, she deserves more than this - can YOU be her rescue angel?
