Eddie looking for rescue now safe

Brindle and white SBT male, approx 3 years old. Eddie is a very nervous, worried dog and has been guarding his kennel & is wary if approached from behind. Once you get him out he is fine - he can be cuddled, picked up and handled him without any problems. He is just very very frightened - seems more comfortable with women than men. Eddie has not shown any aggression to dogs so far. He is slowly coming out of his shell - Eddie is starting to go for walks with pound staff and to come out of his kennel with less and less persuasion
