URGENT Poundies

Dogs featured here are poundies seeking urgent RESCUE SPACES. They are currently being held on death row in stray dog pounds across the UK and are at real risk of being put to sleep if rescue spaces cannot be found for them. They cannot be rehomed direct to the public. They need to be fully assessed and given essential veterinary care before being put up for adoption with full rescue back up in place.

Emergency Boarding

Dogs currently in Emergency Boarding or Quarantine, funded by Safe and Sound. We arrange ‘emergency boarding’ for those dogs who have exceeded the statutory 7 day holding period and are at imminent risk of destruction. Where necessary, we will fund their stay in private boarding kennels until such time as we are able to find them a safe place (i.e. rescue space) to go to. We also fund 'isolation periods', a two week stay in quarantine for dogs coming from pounds where disease control is a problem. The dogs will remain in quarantine until they are healthy enough to move on to rescue. Typically, it costs us around £7 to £10 per day to hold a dog in emergency boarding or quarantine.
